The Elektron segment focuses on specialty materials based primarily on magnesium and zirconium. This segment offers advanced lightweight magnesium alloys; magnesium powders for use in countermeasure flares, defense applications, infrared decoys, and heater meals; and zirconium-based chemicals and oxides used as catalysts converters, industrial catalysis, advanced ceramics, specialty glass, fuel cell components, pharmaceuticals, and other performance-critical applications. The company operates in the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, Canada, Germany, rest of Europe, the Asia Pacific, and the rest of the world.
